The book release date (February 6th) of The Hummingbirds is less than a week away and there is much to share.
1. The hardcover edition (pictured above) is beautiful. It was a wonder to hold it in my hand for the first time. I'm so grateful to my editor, Alexandra Hess, and the team at Skyhorse for dressing up my words so well. Elliot Bay Book Company is going to be selling these at the book release party and, to be honest, that's one of the many things about this whole adventure that is blowing my mind. In my bookish world Elliot Bay is a legend.
2. February 6th also marks the release date of the audiobook version of the novel, available through the best audiobook provider out there, Libro.fm (did you know your purchases there support your local indie bookstores?). Will Damron did an amazing job reading it and making the book come alive. Here's a 17-minute sample right here. You can see the full audiobook page with all its bells and whistles right here.
3. My book trailer video through Tall Firs Cinema is now available! I did a short interview with Sarah of Tall Firs and got into some of the ins-and-outs of the books, as well read a bit from the beginning. You can check that out right here.
4. The book release party at Hotel Sorrento has been called not just a "Recommended," but a "Don't Miss" event by Rich Smith of The Stranger, and the blurb about it appeared in the print issue of the newspaper as well as online. You can read that here.
That's all for now. More soon.
